Adams Rite MS+1890-4026-628 MS+ Deadlock/Latch, Clear Aluminum Anodized
The MS+1890 Series MS Deadlock/Latch provides a maximum security deadlock for after hour and traffic control convenience during business hours.
Maximum Security deadlock after hours plus traffic control convenience for management during the business day. Typical installation is a bank or store requiring three modes of door control: 1. Both lock and latch bolts retracted for unrestricted entry and exit during business hours, 2. Handle-operated latch for exit-only traffic just after closing, and 3. Maximum Security hookbolt for overnight lockup. NOTE: Handle or paddle operates latchbolt only.
360° turn of key or thumbturn throws or retracts the hook-shaped deadlock. 120° further turn retracts latch bolt as well. Cylinder may be any make standard 1-5/32” diameter mortise type with MS® dimensioned cam. Handle retracts spring-loaded latchbolt only.
Adams Rite has four types of dead bolts to meet the needs of any situation. They have a short throw dead blot that has the longest practical throw from a narrow stile. This dead bolt operates with a half turn of the key.
The heavy duty dead blot is for sliding wood or metal doors. The deadbolt throws a massive brass bolt into the strike and then expands a stainless steel dog upward and downward to secure the door. A full turn of the key is necessary to operate the bolt. This bolt requires a special cylinder cam.
Adams Rite also offers an interconnected dead bolt / dead latch for either aluminum stile or hollow wood or metal doors. This combination provides access control from the outside and fast, easy and panic-proof exiting.
It does this by interconnecting the dead bolt and the dead latch when the lock is operated from the inside only when configured with the interconnect feature. The outside lever retracts the latch only.

We carry the Adams Rite line of electrical locks for aluminum doors and glass door locks because they are absolutely unsurpassed. Adams Rite dominates the market for aluminum door electromechanical locks and locking systems.
The company introduced the Maximum Security lock in 1955, and it still remains a major choice for applications where it is suitable. Adams Rite has created numerous locks for this market since that time.
Adams Rite is a subsidiary of ASSA ABLOY and shares that owner’s pedigree for outstanding products, service and innovation. We are very proud of our relationship with this company because they care about meeting your needs as much as we do.
This care is evident in the RITE Door integrated door assembly. This remarkable product has been installed in healthcare, education and commercial applications because of it provides clean sight lines and low profile hardware.
The innovation that is a company hallmark is evident in their line of products designed to covert aluminum and glass storefronts to electrified openings. This improves the safety and security of the business.
Take some time and explore the electrical locks for aluminum doors and the glass door locks available through Adams Rite. You are certain to find what you need for any situation.
