Markar FS3502 Full Surface Security Hinge
Markar hinges have been setting the standard for the industry since 1969. They were the first manufacturer of a continuous pin and barrel hinge line that now includes over 75 standard models for a wide variety of applications.
The strongest hinges are found in the 3500 series. These are manufactured of heavy duty 12 gauge stainless steel with a hospital tip as a standard feature. Each hinge in the series is intended for heavy traffic areas and can withstand frequent use and high abuse. It is suitable for correctional facilities and other high-security locations. And edge mount, two full surface security hinges and a hinge guard are available in the series.
The 600 series is made of heavy-duty 14 gauge 316 stainless steel and supports up to 600 lbs. It is available in an edge mount.
The 300 series is made from heavy-duty 14 gauge 304 stainless steel and also supports up to 600 lbs. This series has the widest variety of hinges available, including styles with Markar’s Adjust-A-Screw feature.
The hinges range from an edge mount to swing clear hinge guards for square edge doors. Markar developed this variety of hinges in response to customer feedback, so it would be surprising if you could not locate the hinge for your standard application in this series.
The 200 series is designed for high traffic interior doors. The series is manufactured of carbon steel and comes in a gray powder coat primer.
Hinges in the 200 series are edge mounts, full surface 1/8” inset and full surface flush mount, and a half surface hinge.
The 100 series is extruded aluminum and is the only series not fire rated. They are available in the same models as the 200 series, in addition to a half mortise hinge.
