McKinney T4A3784 Half Mortise Hinge 6", Prime Powder Coat for Painting
Half Mortise Bearing Heavy Weight Hinges are for greater frequency and weight than Plain Bearing or standard hinges.
5 knuckle half mortise hinges from McKinney fit the channel iron jambs and attach with machine screws. The door leaf is mortised into the edge of the door, giving this style the half mortise descriptive name.
McKinney offers the half mortise hinge in 4 1/2" and 5” lengths in a standard weight. This is an appropriate choice for average frequency and medium weight doors that see more traffic than a Plain Bearing hinge could accommodate.
With an NRP screw holding the pin in place, these are fully reversible hinges, in both the standard and heavy weight half mortise styles. The heavy weight 5 knuckle half mortise hinge offer the same sizes as the standard weight but adds a 6” length as an additional option.
The swing clear half mortise hinge style allows the maximum clearance available when the door is open. It is recommended for high traffic doorways and heavy wood or metal doors. Like the other half mortise hinge styles it is reversible.
