Pemko offers a latching panic threshold for transitional use at entry and exit ways, primarily in commercial applications or where ADA compliance is of necessity. They are designed to work in conjunction with surface applied vertical rod exit devices, ensuring that each application allows for a fully realized functionality. They are also used to provide a doorstop and seal at the bottom of the door. The unique design of the panic threshold allows for greater efficiency for both transitional materials as well as a way to save on energy costs by minimizing heat and cold transmission at outside entryways.
Like most of their commercial thresholds, Pemko offers several types of material bases for builder selections and customer needs. Majority of their latching panic thresholds include materials such as: Extruded Aluminum thresholds, which are manufactured of tempered aluminum, 6063-T6. Architectural bronze/brass thresholds, which are manufactured of CDA alloy C38500. Roll Formed Aluminum Plate, which are manufactured from 5052-H32 Aluminum. Finally, Eco-V thresholds, which are manufactured using a bio-based, phthalate-free material with no heavy metals. Thresholds are available in numerous configurations and finishes for most applications.
