C.R. Laurence AG3 3" Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drill is engineered for precision and durability, making it an essential tool for glass drilling applications. Constructed from solid steel, the AG3 is C.R. Laurence's most durable plated drill. For optimal results, it is recommended to use the DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and to submerge the drill in a retaining ring. Once worn, this drill can be sharpened once with a CRL Sharpening Stone to extend its lifespan by revealing additional diamonds. Safety is paramount when using this tool; always wear proper eye protection and ensure the work surface is flat and horizontal. Additionally, a stabilization base, like the GDB1 or GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases, is necessary for safe operation. The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills reduces the contact area, allowing better grinding action and increased coolant penetration. They are perfect for use in portable tripod and cup style machines. Our most durable drill has been machined from solid steel. Use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge in a retaining ring for best results. Although plated, these drills may be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone after they are totally worn out to expose some of the remaining diamonds. This will extend their work life for a period of time.

NOTE: Always wear the proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. A Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device is recommended when using any type of electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Failure to follow any of these precautions can result in operator injury.

NEVER perform any type of freehand drilling. The use of a hand drill requieres a stabilization base such as a our GDB1 & GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care and caution should be used as the use of these drill in any other manner other than as specified may damage the bit and void warranty.
