C.R. Laurence NFH4PBS Polished Brass Single Narrow Floating Header with Surface Mounted Top Pivots is designed specifically for 36" wide openings utilizing 1/2" (12 mm) tempered glass. This innovative header is ideal for monolithic tempered glass installations and is supported by glass side panels, ensuring structural integrity and an elegant appearance. The NFH4PBS pairs seamlessly with CRL PH20 and PH21 Series Top Door Patch Hardware, as well as CRL’s heavy glass door rails, creating an even sight line that enhances the overall aesthetic of your space. Available in standard lengths of 36" (914 mm) and customizable options for unique configurations, this header is versatile enough to accommodate various design requirements. Crafted from durable polished brass, this product features six standard architectural finishes, with custom finishes available upon request. The narrow design allows for maximum visibility while providing the security of a magnetic shear lock, making it a practical choice for modern applications. Please note that all customers must consult a structural engineer to confirm the suitability of this product for their specific use and local regulations. For weight considerations, if the transom above exceeds 100 pounds, additional support from the ceiling is required to prevent bowing. CRL Narrow Floating Headers with Walking Beam Top Pivots work with CRL PH20 and PH21 Series Top Door Patch Hardware Fittings, and with all CRL 1/2" (12 mm) Heavy Glass Door Rails. When used with CRL Door Rails you get an even sight line, as the width of the Narrow Header matches the width of the Door Rail. For use with Free-Swinging Bottom Pivots or Floor Closers, Standard Narrow Floating Headers with Walking Beam Top Pivots are fabricated for use in 1/2" (12 mm) glass-to-glass configurations. Custom lengths, glass-to-wall configurations, and Floating Headers for offset pivots are also available.

Length and installation type must be specified when ordering. If the weight of the transom above the header exceeds 100 pounds (45.4 kg) the transom will need to be supported from the ceiling to take weight off of the header and prevent bowing. The customer can use either Cat. No. B5BC Smoke Baffle Channel or PH94 Patch Fittings. Please contact Technical Sales.
