C.R. Laurence SS1466 Gray 1/4" Edgetech Super Spacer - 66 Foot Roll offers an innovative solution for the simultaneous production of both regular and specially shaped insulating glass units. This advanced spacer system eliminates the need for desiccant beads and corner keys, significantly saving production time and enhancing efficiency. Crafted from superior insulating silicone foam, the Super Spacer effectively minimizes perimeter edge condensation and reduces overall window heat loss. One of the standout features of this product is its flexibility, accommodating glass bowing and thermal movement without the need for head compression. The multi-layer vapor barrier is continuous at the corners, preventing moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss. UV-resistant silicone ensures long-term durability, while the spacer's permeability allows for rapid moisture pick-up, improving edge seal desiccant performance. Measuring 66 feet in length, the roll is available in gray or black, with custom colors and bulk rolls available upon special order. For optimal performance, it is essential to pair the Super Spacer with a suitable edge sealant, such as CRL Hot Melt Butyl or CRL 877 Super Spacer Sealant. Always remember to use appropriate protective gear when working with glass.

CRL Edgetech Super Spacer® is made from superior insulating silicone foam. The spacer essentially eliminates perimeter edge condensation and substantially reduces overall window heat loss. Because of the unique design features of Super Spacer® there are advantages in using this product for the fabrication of specialized insulating glass designs, including curved and odd shaped units, sound insulating, and triple-glazed units with art glass inserts.


For long-term durability, UV resistant silicone material is used to prevent spacer degradation. The flexible foam spacer provides friendly accommodation of glass bowing and thermal movement, and also helps ensure improved edge seal desiccant, and the permeability of the foam allows for fast moisture pick-up. To reduce moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss, the Super Spacer® is backed by a high performance, multi-layer barrier film.

Rolls are 66' (20.1 m) long. Other colors and bulk rolls are available on special order.

NOTE: Super Spacer® cannot be used without an edge sealant. We recommend CRL Hot Melt Butyl or CRL 877 Super Spacer® Sealant.
