Richelieu BK8730W Closer for Heavy Storm Doors With Chain and Wide Bracket (1.25-2" thick) is expertly crafted to accommodate heavier storm and screen doors made from aluminum, steel, or wood with thicknesses ranging from 1-1/4" to 2" (3.18 cm to 5.08 cm). This pneumatic closer is specifically designed for out-swinging applications, ensuring robust functionality and safety. Included in the package is the SK1730 pneumatic heavy door closer, along with the SK26 wide-base jamb bracket, which allows for new holes to be drilled if existing ones are damaged. The SK14 wind chain provides an additional layer of protection for the door, glass, and closer during gusty conditions. The BK8730W features adjustable closing speeds, regulated by a simple adjustment screw at the end of the tube-tightening slows the door's closure, while loosening quickens it. With both winter and summer settings, it's versatile enough to accommodate screen usage or glass installations. Complete with all necessary fasteners and four 2" wood screws for easy installation, this closer stands as a reliable choice for enhancing door safety and functionality.
