Laurence SS31666BL Black 3/16" Thick x 3/16" Wide Edgetech Super Spacer - 66' Roll offers a revolutionary solution for the simultaneous production of regular and specially shaped insulating glass units. This product is engineered from superior insulating silicone foam, effectively eliminating perimeter edge condensation and significantly reducing overall window heat loss. One of the standout features of the Super Spacer® is its unique design that facilitates the fabrication of specialized insulating glass designs, including curved and odd-shaped units, as well as sound-insulating and triple-glazed constructions with art glass inserts. This innovative spacer saves production time by eliminating the need for desiccant beads and corner keys, allowing for a streamlined assembly process. For long-lasting durability, the spacer is constructed from UV-resistant silicone material, ensuring it withstands environmental exposure without degrading. Its flexible foam accommodates glass bowing and thermal movement, enhancing the overall integrity of the glass unit. Additionally, a high-performance, multi-layer barrier film reduces moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss. Each roll measures 66 feet (20.1 m) in length and is available in both gray and black finishes. Note that the Super Spacer® must be used with an edge sealant, such as CRL Hot Melt Butyl or CRL 877 Super Spacer® Sealant, for optimal performance.
