Acorn CK16ZL Cut Spikes are expertly crafted for heavy construction tasks, making them an essential choice for professionals tackling deck and bridge work. Measuring 3-1/2 inches and categorized as 16d, these hot-dip galvanized cut spikes are designed to drive smoothly through planking and heavy timber, ensuring a secure and reliable hold. Manufactured using traditional techniques on vintage nail machines dating back to 1865, each spike is produced by hand-feeding heated steel into the machine, a method that enhances their durability and strength. The cut nails possess an exceptional holding power, as their unique shape pushes wood fibers downward, creating a wedging effect that makes them difficult to pull out. This reliability makes them a preferred option for various projects. Packaged in 50-pound quantities, Acorn's cut spikes offer a consistent quality that professionals can trust. The slight variations in head shape and nail length, a hallmark of their antique production process, add a distinctive character to each spike. With approximately 18 nails per pound, these cut spikes are a practical and robust solution for all heavy-duty applications. Choose Acorn CK16ZL Cut Spikes for your next construction project and experience the remarkable performance that only handcrafted quality can deliver.
