Acorn CK70V Cut Spikes-7" 70d-Standard-5 Pound are engineered for heavy construction projects, offering exceptional strength and reliability. Ideal for driving through planking and heavy timber, these spikes are perfect for deck and bridge work. Crafted on a historic nail machine dating back to 1865, each spike is made by expertly heating steel plates and feeding them into the machine by hand, ensuring a traditional manufacturing process that enhances their quality. These cut spikes feature a hardened standard finish or a hot-dip galvanized option for added durability. With a cutting rate of 40 spikes per minute, you can expect consistent performance and quality in every pound. Each nail is designed to provide superior holding power, as their unique shape causes wood fibers to wedge against them, making them difficult to pull out once driven in. This 5-pound package contains approximately 7 nails per pound, allowing for extensive use across various projects. Made and packaged with pride in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Acorn CK70V Cut Spikes are a reliable choice for builders and craftsmen who demand the best in their materials. Cut Spikes are used for heavy construction work they drive well through planking and heavy timber for deck and bridge work. They are made on our oldest nail machine (circa 1865) by heating the steel plate to a reddish hue and feeding it by hand into the massive machine. Spikes are cut at a rate of 40 per minute. Available Hardened in Standard Finish or Hot-Dip Galvanized. All our nails are made on original 19th century and early 20th century nail machines, this may lead to variation in head shape and slight differences in nail length.
