Acorn CK80ZL Cut Spikes-8" 80d-Hot-Dip Galvanized-50 Pound are essential for heavy construction projects, offering unparalleled strength and durability. Specifically designed for driving through planking and heavy timber, these spikes excel in deck and bridge work, ensuring a secure hold in demanding applications. Crafted using traditional methods on original 19th and early 20th century nail machines, Acorn's cut spikes are made by heating steel plates and manually feeding them into the machine, resulting in a distinctive character in each spike. With a cutting rate of 40 spikes per minute, these nails are not only efficient but also reliable, boasting a hardened standard finish or a protective hot-dip galvanized coating. The unique shape of cut nails contributes to their exceptional holding power. As they penetrate wood, the design forces the fibers downward, creating a wedge effect that makes them hard to pull out. This reliability makes them a preferred choice for construction professionals and knowledgeable homeowners alike. Each 50-pound package contains approximately 5 nails per pound, ensuring you have plenty to complete your projects. Proudly manufactured and packaged in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Acorn CK80ZL Cut Spikes are the go-to solution for your heavy-duty fastening needs.
