Adams Rite 8424LR-37242 Mortise Exit Device

Adams Rite 8424LR-37242 Mortise Exit Device offers a reliable solution for life safety in narrow stile aluminum applications. This 42-inch device features electric latch retraction, ensuring quick and seamless access. Designed for right-hand reverse (RHR) installations, its dark bronze anodized aluminum finish delivers both durability and aesthetic appeal. The device boasts an innovative "Starwheel" bolt that interlocks the door to the frame, enhancing security. As the door closes, the interlocking noseguard and starwheel bolt engage with the strike, while the deadlocking slide locks the bolt in place. When the pushbar is activated, the deadlocking slide retracts, allowing for easy egress. Constructed from extruded aluminum, the pushbar is available in various finishes and is easy to install. This non-handed device is versatile, with a bar height adjustable between 30 inches to 44 inches, accommodating doors up to 8 feet tall. For taller doors, a separate Tall Door Kit is available. Designed to suit standard door thicknesses from 1-3/4 inches to 2-1/4 inches, the 8424LR-37242 is engineered for reliability and ease of use in commercial settings. With a five-year limited warranty, this exit device is an excellent choice for enhancing safety and accessibility.

Patented "Starwheel" bolt interlocks door to frame, which is a unique feature for exit devices. The "Starwheel" bolt comes into play when the door closes. When the pushbar is depressed, the deadlocking slide moves back, allowing the door to unlock from the strike.
