Assa Abloy Inc. E6551-1-626-SNS Twin Exclusive 1-1/8in Mortise Cylinder offers a robust solution for high-security applications. Designed to retrofit into a variety of leading locksets, including those from Sargent, Arrow, and Schlage, this cylinder provides exceptional versatility and ease of installation. Its drill-resistant housing and plug, combined with case-hardened steel inserts and stainless steel pins, ensure maximum security against tampering. This mortise cylinder features two independent locking mechanisms that enhance pick resistance, complemented by inactive "false" grooves on the side pins and counter-milled chambers. Such advanced engineering results in extremely close tolerances, making it difficult for unauthorized access. The E6551-1-626-SNS is also field-rekeyable, allowing for quick adjustments without the need for professional assistance. With a satin chrome finish (626/US26D), it not only delivers durability but also aesthetic appeal. The cylinder is compatible with an Adams Rite cam, further broadening its application potential. Additionally, the option to convert it into a rim cylinder with a simple kit adds to its adaptability. Certified to U.L. 437 standards, the Assa Abloy E6551-1-626-SNS is a reliable choice for both residential and commercial security needs.
