This robust 1-3/8" mortise housing features a straight A02 cam design and comes in a sleek flat black finish, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and durability. Manufactured from solid brass, this housing is designed to accept Corbin Russwin 8000 Series interchangeable cores in 6 or 7-pin configurations. The interchangeable core system enhances flexibility, allowing for quick rekeying without the need for specialized tools or removal from the door. This is particularly advantageous in settings such as office buildings, hotels, schools, and hospitals, where rekeying can save both time and labor costs over the lifespan of the building. All operating keys-including change, master, and grand master keys-function seamlessly with the lock. For rekeying, a special control key is utilized, which operates at a distinct shear line within select chambers. Additionally, temporary construction cores can be implemented for enhanced security during initial phases of building occupancy. With a limited one-year warranty and made in the USA, the Corbin Russwin 1070-138-A02-6 is a reliable choice for those seeking versatile locking solutions.

Rekeying can be done by non-technical personnel without removing hardware from the door. When used system wide, IC provides tremendous rekeying convenience. When planned from the inception of a system, IC cylinders can be integrated with conventional cylinders.
IC is recommended for virtually all types of keying systems, such as office buildings, hotels, schools, hospitals and universities. When used in exit devices and other installations which are labor intensive to rekey, IC saves time and money over the life of the building.
All operating keys (change, master, grand master) operate the lock normally. To rekey, use the special control key. The control key operates at a separate shear line in certain chambers within the core. Only the control key is required to remove and install a core.
Cores are available in 6-pin (standard), 7-pin, security and Pyramid.
Corbin Russwin recommends temporary construction cores for greater security. Special construction master keying is also available, when planned from the inception of the keying system.
Concealed Key Control (CKC) is available for all Corbin Russwin cores.
