Crafted using a unique Bump-Forming process, this cap rail exhibits superior strength and stability without the stress and spring back typically found in roll-formed products. With dimensions of 1.66 inches in diameter and a thickness of 0.05 inches, it is designed to accommodate 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" glass. Available in a polished stainless steel finish, the GR16PS is not only aesthetically pleasing but also resistant to corrosion, ensuring longevity with the right maintenance. Each cap rail comes in a standard length of 120 inches, but options for custom fabrication are available to meet specific project requirements. The internal channel is welded for added stability, allowing for seamless transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. For optimal installation, use Connector Sleeves (No. GR16CSS) to secure connections. When paired with the appropriate glass thickness, such as 1/2" glass, use CRL's GR5PV Vinyl and 95CBL Silicone for secure fitting. With four architectural finishes to choose from, the GR16PS Premium Cap Rail is the ideal choice for any sophisticated railing system.

CRL's Premium Cap Rails are manufactured using a unique process known as Bump-Forming that ensures accuracy, consistency, and high quality. Unlike roll-formed cap rails, CRL's Bump-Formed Premium Cap Rails do not contain the stress and spring back associated with the roll-formed product. Welds on both sides of the channel add strength and stability to the Cap Rail. This results in a Cap Rail with tighter tolerances, consistent radius, and the ability to fit into welded corners without twist or discoloration. Put simply, it means this is the best product in the market place.


All CRL Premium Cap Rail are formed using precision tooling to maintain uniform diameters, allowing for smooth hairline transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. The internal channel is welded in place to increase strength and stability for fabrication. Use Connector Sleeves to connect Cap Rails. Sold in 120" (3.05 m) lengths.

NOTE: When used with 1/2" (12 mm) glass, Cat. No. GR5PV Cap Rail Vinyl and 95CBL Silicone should be used to secure the glass. When used with 5/8" (16 mm) glass, secure with 95CBL Silicone Sealant and Shims. Please contact CRL Technical Sales for more information or for a quote.

Use the Connector Sleeves to connect Cap Rails. NOTE:When used with 3/4" (19 mm) glass, 95CBL Silicone and shims should be used to secure the glass.
