The simple rectangular cut-out facilitates effortless glass fabrication, making it an ideal choice for both professionals and knowledgeable homeowners. This versatile hinge is compatible with 1/2", 3/8", and 5/16" thick tempered glass (12, 10, and 8 mm) and can support impressive door weights of up to 100 lbs (45 kg) when using two hinges, or 120 lbs (54 kg) with three hinges. It accommodates door widths of up to 30" (762 mm) with two hinges and 34" (864 mm) with three hinges. The hinge swings 90 degrees in and out, self-centering when within 15 degrees of the closed position, ensuring smooth operation. Constructed from solid brass and stocked in popular finishes, including polished chrome, the Melbourne hinge also offers custom finish options. Each package includes gaskets, screws, and precise glass fabrication dimensions for ease of installation. CRL Melbourne Series Hinges feature large hinge plates that provide more clamping force. The required simple rectangular cut-out is for ease of glass fabrication. Constructed of forged solid brass, the Melbourne Series offers Four versions of wall mount models, a 180 degree glass-to-glass model, and replacement cover plates for concealment of hinge plate screws. For use with 1/2", 3/8", and 5/16" (12, 10 and 8 mm) thick tempered glass. Stocked in three popular finishes, with custom finishes available.


Using two hinges with 1/2", 3/8", and 5/16" glass (12, 10, and 8 mm) the hinge will hold up to 100 lbs. (45 kg) with a maximum door width of 30" (762 mm).

Using three hinges with 1/2", 3/8", and 5/16" glass (12, 10, and 8 mm) the hinge will hold up to 120 lbs. (54 kg) with a maximum door width of 34" (864 mm).
