C.R. Laurence GC3001 Glass-Check Pro is the advanced successor to the GC3000, designed for precise measurement of glass thickness in triple pane windows. This innovative tool measures the glass, air space, and overall insulated glass (IG) thickness from a single side, making it perfect for both residential and commercial applications. Equipped with full Low-e detection capabilities, the Glass-Check Pro can efficiently identify the position of Low-e coatings on the surfaces of double pane windows, a significant advantage for multi-story assessments where access is limited. Its expanded thickness range of up to 2 inches (50 mm) accommodates a diverse array of glass types, ensuring versatility across various projects. Engineered for ease of use, this meter is suitable for both novice and experienced installers, inspectors, and surveyors. Display options allow users to select measurement formats that best suit their needs, including actual values or rounded metrics in inches or millimeters. Additionally, the device reduces measurement errors and can accurately measure glass deflection in sealed IG assemblies. A protective carrying case is included for convenient transport, and the device operates on a common 9-volt battery for hassle-free maintenance. Note that the meter will not read reflective coated laminates.

CRL GC3001 Glass-Chek PRO measures glass, air space and overall IG thickness of triple pane windows, all with a single test from one side of the window. It works with single and double pane applications as well.


The GC3000 is a fully equipped Low-e Coating Detector capable of locating a Low-e coating on any surface of a double pane window from a single side. This is a major time saver for testing multi-story buildings where you only have access to the inside of the window.

No other meter in the world can handle the same combination of applications. With an expanded thickness range of 2" (50 mm), the Glass-Check Pro is compatible with residential and commercial glass.

Choose from Multiple Display Formats: You can set-up the Glass-Check PRO to display measurement results in the format that works best for you. Choose from actual values or rounded (to ASTM Standards) in fractions of an inch, thousandths of an inch, decimals of an inch or millimeters.

Glass Thickness Capabilities: Illustration Measure the thickness of each pane, each air space, and the total IG thickness in single, double, and triple pane windows

Low-e Coating Detection Illustration: Detect the presence and location of Low-e coatings on any surface of the first two panes. The meter will specify whether the coating is on surface one, two, three/four or "CLEAR" if no coating is present.
