Richelieu 89DP2130 DP-300 Concealed Door Straightener/Stiffener is designed to reinforce tall wood doors, providing exceptional stability and resistance to warping. This adjustable threaded rod is perfect for doors that are visible from both sides and require added strength, particularly in environments with fluctuating humidity or on doors featuring a heavy finish, such as laminated or painted surfaces. The DP-300 is fully concealed within a wood door that has a minimum thickness of 33 mm (1-5/16 in), ensuring a seamless aesthetic. For optimal installation, the door should be fabricated in two parts: a thicker section (minimum 27 mm or 1-1/16 in) with a groove, and a decorative skin to cover the hardware. The adjustment mechanism is conveniently located at the top end of the door, allowing for easy access. Available in four sizes to accommodate various door heights ranging from 90 1/2 to 98 3/8 in, this stiffener is compatible with wood doors that are between 1 5/16 to 3 5/32 in thick and 23 5/8 to 72 in wide.
