Richelieu 478800 Aluminum Sleeve is an economical solution tailored for general-purpose cable swaging applications. Specifically designed for use with wire rope of the same diameter, this aluminum sleeve ensures a reliable connection that stands the test of time. Crafted from durable aluminum, it not only boasts excellent weather resistance but also offers a long service life, making it suitable for various environments. To achieve secure swages, it is essential to utilize a proper swaging tool instead of a hammer, ensuring that each crimp is made correctly. When working with plastic-coated cables, remember to remove the coating from the assembly area prior to swaging for optimal performance. It is important to note that the Richelieu 478800 should not be used for hanging loads, lifting, or supporting the weight of persons or objects, nor is it suitable for athletic or playground equipment. With a size of 1/16 inch, the sleeve comes packaged in a clamshell format, allowing for easy handling and storage. Designed for professionals and knowledgeable homeowners alike, this product not only meets high standards but also ensures safety and reliability in your cable assembly projects.
