Pemko Manufacturing Co S88W 25FT Smoke Seal is a high-performance adhesive perimeter gasket designed to enhance safety and efficiency in various applications. This versatile seal begins compressing at 1/4" and effectively seals gaps up to 1/16", making it ideal for smoke control and air infiltration management. The SiliconSeal material is crafted from high-temperature silicone, ensuring durability in extreme temperatures ranging from -58°F to 450°F. This smoke seal meets FAR 25.853 Airworthiness Standards and has been rigorously tested in accordance with UBC 7-2 and UL 1784-01, fulfilling the requirements of NFPA 105. With an impressive air infiltration rating of just 0.09 CFM/ft of crack, it significantly reduces unwanted airflow. Suitable for Category B doors, this product requires an additional edge sealing system for optimal performance, aligning with Category G and H requirements for smoke and draft control. Its self-adhesive mounting type allows for easy installation on the side of frames, and it comes in a convenient 25-foot length. Available in white and other colors, the S88W is also non-toxic, self-extinguishing, and impervious to mildew and fungus, ensuring long-lasting reliability. Please note its limited shelf life of 6 months when stored between 50°F and 100°F for optimal performance.

The S88 adhesive perimeter gasket compresses to seal up to a 1/16" gap and is available with perforations for behavioral health applications.

• Category H gaskets for use with listed steel frames and/or classified steel covered composite, hollow metal doors rated up to and including 3 hours; wood and plastic covered composite doors rated up to and including 1-1/2 hours; and wood core doors rated for 20 minutes without hose stream. When applied to the door and frame assembly in accordance with the manufacturers installation instruction, the assembly will comply with UBC 7-2 (1997) part II
• Category J - Doors - gasketing that has been tested on a positive pressure fire door and frame but is not required for the door to obtain its fire door rating. Category J gasketing does not negatively affect the rating on a positive pressure door
• Category J gaskets for use with listed steel frames and/or classified steel covered composite, hollow metal doors rated up to and including 3 hours; wood and plastic covered composite doors rated up to and including 1-1/2 hours; and wood core doors rated for 20 minutes
