LCN 1461-HD 689 FC Surface Closer AL is a Grade 1 Regular or Top Jamb Surface Closer designed for both push and pull side applications. This heavy-duty closer features a double lever arm design with a full plastic cover, allowing for a smooth 180-degree swing. Its aluminum painted finish combines durability with a professional appearance, making it suitable for commercial and institutional environments. Constructed from high-strength cast iron, this closer is built to withstand heavy use, having been tested to an impressive 2,000,000 cycles. The adjustable spring size ranges from 1 to 6, accommodating interior doors up to 5’0" and exterior doors up to 4’0". The LCN 1461 offers three installation options-regular arm, top jamb, and parallel arm-allowing flexibility for various door configurations. Independent adjustment valves enable precise control of backcheck, closing, and latching speeds, while concealed valves prevent tampering. The innovative Cush-N-Stop® function includes a built-in stop to protect the closer, door, and frame from damage during abrupt stops. The LCN 1460 Series is designed for maximum versatility, available with multiple cover options, it can be used for both commercial and institutional applications. This Grade 1 closer features a cast iron body with a full compliment bearing, 1-1/4 In. diameter piston, 3/4 In. diameter single heat treated pinion journal and all weather fluid. Spring size is adjustable from size 1 to 6.

• Non-sized (1-6) cylinder is adjustable for interior doors to 5’0” and exterior doors to 4’0”
• Closer mounts hinge side, top jamb and parallel arm on either right or left swinging doors
• Closer meets ADA requirements
• Standard or optional custom powder coat finish. Optional plated finish on Designer Series metal cover, arm and fasteners
• Optional SRI primer for installations in corrosive conditions
