Designed for standard aluminum entrance doors, this non-handed deadlatch features a narrow backset and operates reliably with a 1-1/2" backset. The 4300 eLatch is always operable from the inside via a handle or paddle device, allowing for immediate access. It provides entry through a keyed mortise cylinder or an access control element, ensuring versatile entry options. This fail-secure lock includes an optional form "C" latch status monitor, enhancing security and monitoring capabilities. Constructed from durable steel with corrosion-resistant plating, the case measures 15/16" x 5-13/16" and is designed for continuous duty, operating on 12, 16, or 24 volt DC power. The latchbolt provides a robust 5/8" x 1" x 5/8" throw made from stainless steel, while an all-metal auxiliary bolt prevents unauthorized entry. Each unit comes with both flat and radius faceplates, which can be field-adjusted for beveled edge doors. The 4300 Steel Hawk eLatch is an exceptional choice for those seeking reliability, security, and ease of installation in commercial settings.
