Constructed from solid brass, this 1-1/4" mortise housing is designed to accommodate Corbin Russwin's 8000 Series interchangeable cores, available in both 6-pin and 7-pin variations. The A03 Adams Rite cam ensures seamless operation with compatible systems, all finished in an elegant flat black (622/US19) that complements modern architectural designs. One of the standout features of this mortise housing is its rekeying convenience. Non-technical personnel can easily rekey the system without removing hardware from the door, saving both time and labor costs throughout the building's lifecycle. This makes it particularly advantageous for facilities like office buildings, hotels, schools, and hospitals, where security and accessibility are paramount. The lock operates seamlessly with operating keys, while a specialized control key allows for core removal and installation at a separate shear line, ensuring added security. Corbin Russwin also offers construction cores for temporary security needs, further enhancing the flexibility of this locking system. With a limited warranty of one year, the Corbin Russwin 1070-114-A03-6 is a reliable choice for those seeking a durable and efficient locking solution.

Corbin Russwin Interchangeable Core Mortise and Rim Housings are made from soldi brass and are available to accept Corbin Russwin 8000 Series Interchangeable Cores in 6 or 7-Pin versions.
Interchangeable cores provide rekeying convenience for virtually all types of keying systems.
Interchangeable cores like this save time and money over the life of a building.
Rekeying can be done by non-technical personnel without removing hardware from the door. When used system wide, IC provides tremendous rekeying convenience. When planned from the inception of a system, IC cylinders can be integrated with conventional cylinders.
IC is recommended for virtually all types of keying systems, such as office buildings, hotels, schools, hospitals and universities. When used in exit devices and other installations which are labor intensive to rekey, IC saves time and money over the life of the building.
All operating keys (change, master, grand master) operate the lock normally. To rekey, use the special control key. The control key operates at a separate shear line in certain chambers within the core. Only the control key is required to remove and install a core.
Cores are available in 6-pin (standard), 7-pin, security and Pyramid.
Corbin Russwin recommends temporary construction cores for greater security. Special construction master keying is also available, when planned from the inception of the keying system.
Concealed Key Control (CKC) is available for all Corbin Russwin cores.
