Adams Rite 4781-021-628 Two Point DeadLatch W/Paddle offers a robust locking solution specifically designed for paired outswinging narrow stile doors, while also being suitable for single doors. This deadlatch features a paddle mechanism that allows for paddle dogging, enabling the door to swing freely when the hex screw is turned in the paddle escutcheon. The innovative top bolt design resembles latches found in automobiles and aircraft, wrapping around the strike post to secure the door in a deadlocked position. A unique gear train mechanism simultaneously deadlocks the bottom bolt, enhancing overall security. The header strike includes generous adjustment options to accommodate misalignments, sagging, or bumpers, effectively preventing forced entry by bowing the door. Constructed with a stainless hexagonal steel bottom bolt, the deadlatch requires only a 1/2" diameter hole in the threshold for installation. The standard unit accommodates doors up to 66" above paddle height, with an optional Tall Door Kit available for doors up to 97". Available options include exit-only configurations or key access from the outside with the addition of the 8650 Cylinder Escutcheon. Individually boxed with mounting screws and installation instructions, the Adams Rite 4781-021-628 ensures a secure and user-friendly installation experience.
