Crafted using a unique Bump-Forming process, this cap rail eliminates the stress and spring-back issues commonly found in roll-formed products. The welded internal channel adds strength and stability, allowing for tighter tolerances and a flawless fit into fabricated corners without discoloration. Available in a generous 168" length, the cap rail features a brushed stainless steel finish that complements various architectural styles. With a diameter of 1.66" (42 mm) and a thickness of 0.05" (1.27 mm), it’s designed to securely accommodate 1/2" (12 mm) glass. The product can also be cut to size or custom fabricated to meet specific project requirements. For optimal performance, use Connector Sleeves (No. GR16CSS) to join sections seamlessly. Ensure a secure bond at all connections with CRL’s recommended Metal Contact Cement. While the stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance, periodic maintenance is advised to preserve its factory finish. Trust in C.R. CRL's Premium Cap Rails are manufactured using a unique process known as Bump-Forming that ensures accuracy, consistency, and high quality. Unlike roll-formed cap rails, CRL's Bump-Formed Premium Cap Rails do not contain the stress and spring back associated with the roll-formed product. Welds on both sides of the channel add strength and stability to the Cap Rail. This results in a Cap Rail with tighter tolerances, consistent radius, and the ability to fit into welded corners without twist or discoloration. Put simply, it means this is the best product in the market place.


All CRL Premium Cap Rail are formed using precision tooling to maintain uniform diameters, allowing for smooth hairline transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. The internal channel is welded in place to increase strength and stability for fabrication. Use Connector Sleeves to connect Cap Rails. Sold in 168" (4.27 m) lengths.

NOTE: When used with 1/2" (12 mm) glass, Cat. No. GR5PV Cap Rail Vinyl and 95CBL Silicone should be used to secure the glass. When used with 5/8" (16 mm) glass, secure with 95CBL Silicone Sealant and Shims. Please contact CRL Technical Sales for more information or for a quote.

Use of our 32629 Metal Contact Cement is required to achieve a secure and permanent bond at all connections.

Use the Connector Sleeves to connect Cap Rails. NOTE:When used with 3/4" (19 mm) glass, 95CBL Silicone and shims should be used to secure the glass.
