The steel plate is heated to a reddish hue before being fed by hand into the machine, allowing for precision cutting at a rate of 40 spikes per minute. These cut nails are available in a durable standard finish or hot-dip galvanized for added corrosion resistance, ensuring longevity in outdoor applications. Notably, the unique manufacturing process may result in slight variations in head shape and nail length, a testament to their handcrafted quality. With approximately 18 nails per pound, these 16d spikes provide exceptional holding power due to their design, which effectively wedges against wood fibers for a secure fit. Once you've experienced the reliability and strength of Acorn Cut Spikes, you'll find them indispensable for all your construction needs. Proudly manufactured and packaged in Mansfield, Massachusetts, these nails blend traditional craftsmanship with modern performance.
