Acorn CK50ZL Cut Spikes-5-1/2" 50d-Hot-Dip Galvanized-50 Pound deliver exceptional strength and reliability for heavy construction projects. Designed specifically for deck and bridge work, these cut spikes are engineered to drive smoothly through planking and heavy timber, ensuring a secure hold in demanding applications. Crafted on one of Acorn's oldest nail machines, dating back to 1865, each spike is meticulously produced by heating the steel plate to a reddish hue and hand-feeding it into the machine. This traditional method results in a unique character, with slight variations in head shape and nail length, reflecting the craftsmanship of a bygone era. The spikes are available in both a standard finish and hot-dip galvanized for enhanced corrosion resistance. With approximately 9 nails per pound, the Acorn CK50ZL Cut Spikes feature a design that enhances durability and holding power. Their shape effectively pushes wood fibers downward, making them challenging to pull out once installed. This characteristic makes them a preferred choice for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike, ensuring reliable performance across all of your projects. Proudly manufactured and packaged in Mansfield, Massachusetts, these cut spikes represent a blend of tradition and functionality.
