C.R. Laurence 76NGA36 36" Commercial Heavy-Duty Automatic Door Bottom is engineered for mortise applications, delivering exceptional performance under various conditions. This robust door bottom is mechanically actuated, featuring an internal carrier bar with a vinyl insert that drops from a concealed cavity. When installed, it creates a tight seal between the door base and the threshold, making it an ideal choice for carpeted interiors where the door bottom must retract when opened. With a length that can be cut down by up to 2 inches (51 mm), the 76NGA36 offers flexibility to fit different door specifications. The door bottom is supplied with a frame "actuator" protector plate and can be field-reversed for either hand of the door, enhancing versatility for installation. Proper actuation occurs only when the product is installed; initial testing by hand will not ensure its full functionality. Once installed, adjustments can be made to the threaded hex plunger to increase seal pressure against the sill. Finished in durable aluminum and measuring 1-3/8" in height and 7/8" in width, this door bottom is designed to withstand everyday use while maintaining a professional appearance.
