This 6-pin interchangeable core features a durable satin brass finish and is designed for use with Corbin Russwin's 8000 Series Mortise and Rim Housings, accommodating both 6 and 7-pin versions. One of the standout benefits of this interchangeable core is its ability to streamline rekeying processes, allowing non-technical personnel to perform rekeying without removing hardware from the door. This feature is particularly advantageous for applications in commercial settings such as office buildings, hotels, schools, and hospitals, where rekeying can often be labor-intensive and costly. The operation is straightforward: all operating keys, including change, master, and grand master keys, function normally, while a special control key is used for rekeying, operating at a separate shear line. Additionally, the core is compatible with concealed key control (CKC), enhancing security measures. Constructed from solid brass and backed by a one-year limited warranty, the Corbin Russwin 8000-57A1 provides long-lasting reliability for your keying needs. With its practical design and robust features, this LFIC core is a smart choice for any security-focused building project.

Interchangeable cores like this save time and money over the life of a building.
Rekeying can be done by non-technical personnel without removing hardware from the door. When used system wide, IC provides tremendous rekeying convenience. When planned from the inception of a system, IC cylinders can be integrated with conventional cylinders.
IC is recommended for virtually all types of keying systems, such as office buildings, hotels, schools, hospitals and universities. When used in exit devices and other installations which are labor intensive to rekey, IC saves time and money over the life of the building.
All operating keys (change, master, grand master) operate the lock normally. To rekey, use the special control key. The control key operates at a separate shear line in certain chambers within the core. Only the control key is required to remove and install a core.
Cores are available in 6-pin (standard), 7-pin, security and Pyramid.
Corbin Russwin recommends temporary construction cores for greater security. Special construction master keying is also available, when planned from the inception of the keying system.
Concealed Key Control (CKC) is available for all Corbin Russwin cores.
