CRL 33HPW White DAP '33' Glazing Compound - Half Pint offers a reliable solution for glazing wood and metal sash windows. This ready-to-use compound features a smooth, creamy consistency that ensures easy application and superior performance. Its exceptional adhesion creates a durable air and watertight seal, effectively resisting sagging, shrinking, chalking, and cracking over time. For optimal results, proper surface preparation is crucial. Ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry before application. When re-glazing, remove any old putty and bedding to achieve a solid bond. Apply a thin layer of DAP® '33'® Glazing, approximately 1/8" thick, to the backstop of the sash, providing essential back-bedding for the glass. For metal sash, remember to use spacer shims to maintain the correct bedding thickness. This glazing compound must be painted after it has skinned over and achieved a firm set, typically taking one to two weeks to dry, depending on temperature and humidity. It is important to use either high-quality oil-based paint or, if opting for latex paint, first prime with oil-based primer for best results. Note that this product is not suitable for plastic window panes or stained glass projects. Clean tools promptly with mineral spirits for easy maintenance.

CRL DAP® '33'® Glazing Compound is smooth and flexible, and comes ready-to-use for face glazing wood and metal window frames. Its adhesion to both glass and sash is excellent, forming a dependable air and watertight seal that resists sagging, shrinking, chalking, and cracking.

SURFACE PREPARATION & APPLICATION
Separation occurs in glazing Putty; mix entire contents of container until completely uniformed before the application. If necessary, roll into coils to warm and soften.

Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of frost. When re-glazing, remove all old putty and bedding.

Wood sash that is not primed or painted must be primed first with an oil-based primer and allowed to dry. When re-glazing, remove all old putty and bedding.

Apply a thin layer of DAP® ‘33’® Glazing (about 1/8" thick) to backstop of sash to provide back-bedding where glass is to be set.

For metal sash, use spacer shims at quarter points to maintain 1/8" minimum bedding thickness. There should be no metal or wood to glass contact.

Product Warning:

Do not thin glazing compound.
Do not apply when air or sash temperatures are below 40ºF (4ºC).
Do not use on plastic window panes, insulating glass units with an organic seal, any window pane over 48" (1.22 m) in length, or metal sash with rabbets over 1-1/4" (32 mm) wide.
Also not recommended for stained/leaded glass projects.
Clean tools immediately after use with mineral spirits.
