CRL 33PTW DAP '33' White Glazing Compound - Pint

CRL 33PTW White DAP '33' Glazing Compound - Pint is a ready-to-use solution specifically designed for face glazing wood and metal sash windows. This high-performance glazing compound features a smooth, creamy consistency that ensures an effortless application, providing excellent adhesion to both glass and sash. Once applied, it forms a reliable air and watertight seal, effectively resisting sagging, shrinking, chalking, and cracking. For optimal results, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of frost prior to application. When re-glazing, it's essential to remove all old putty and bedding. For wood sash that isn't primed or painted, an oil-based primer must be applied beforehand. The compound should be laid down in a thin layer (approximately 1/8" thick) to establish a solid back bedding for the glass. Keep in mind that the putty requires painting after it has skinned over and reached a firm set, with a typical drying time of one to two weeks depending on environmental conditions. Use a high-quality oil-based paint, or if opting for latex, first prime with an oil-based primer. Note that this product should not be used on plastic window panes or for stained/leaded glass projects.
