CRL 7244SB3 Black 1/4" x 3/8" Tremco POLYshim II Butyl TapeCRL 7244SB3 Black 1/4" x 3/8" Tremco POLYshim II Butyl Architectural Tape offers a reliable solution for compression glazing systems, providing exceptional performance in various applications. This highly adhesive, elastic tape is made from 100% solids content, ensuring excellent durability. It features a continuous integral EPDM shim that effectively prevents sealant squeeze-out, accommodating the natural expansion and contraction of building materials and glass. Designed for high-performance glazing, the POLYshim II Tape is suitable for curtain walls, punched and ribbon window systems, and sloped glazing applications. Its resilient design minimizes pressure points, reducing the risk of glass breakage during installation. With a temperature range of application from 20°F (-7°C) to 120°F (49°C) and a service range of -65°F (-54°C) to 200°F (93°C), this tape remains flexible even in extreme conditions. The CRL 7244SB3 tape meets the AAMA 800-92 specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards. With a roll length of 20 ft. (6 m), a thickness of 0.28 in. (7 mm), and a width of 3/8 in. (10 mm), it is packaged in cases of 20 rolls. Choose this versatile and dependable butyl tape for your next glazing project.

CRL Tremco® POLYshim™ II Tape is a 100 percent solids, highly adhesive and elastic, cross linked preformed butyl tape. Use it in compression glazing systems wherever the design calls for high performance glazing of curtain wall, unitized curtain walls, punched and ribbon window systems, and sloped glazing applications.
The continuous rubber shim works to prevent sealant squeeze-out because it is resilient to pressure exerted by building and glass expansion or contraction. It also helps prevent glass breakage by eliminating pressure points created by improper shimming. The continuous shim eliminates the need for preshimming the lite before installing the tape. Tremco® Pre-Shimmed tape has good adhesion, heat resistance, sealant compatibility, and resistance to weathering. It can be used in conjunction with many glazing systems.
