C.R. Laurence AE3600 Low-E Glass Detector is an essential tool for building professionals and glazing specialists aiming to reduce costly manufacturing errors. This portable meter efficiently identifies the presence and location of thermally resistant coatings on both single and double strength energy-efficient glass. Capable of detecting all types of Low-E coatings, whether hard coat (pyrolytic) or soft coat (sputter), the AE3600 simplifies the verification process with its user-friendly design. With factory calibration requiring no field adjustments, operating the AE3600 is straightforward. Simply press the flat bottom surface against the glass and activate the power button. Instantly, one of three indicators will reveal the presence and location of Low-E coatings, ensuring that windows are manufactured correctly. The maximum air space for accurate readings is 1/2 inch (12.7 mm), and the simple light indicators help determine whether the coatings are on clear, near, or far surfaces. Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (included), the AE3600 measures 4-1/2 inches in length, 2-1/2 inches in width, and has a thickness of 1 inch. This tool not only aids in manufacturing processes but can also serve as an effective sales tool to promote Low-E glass options.
