This low-maintenance vinyl screening system is engineered specifically for home builders, ensuring a seamless fit with existing 2" x 4" or 4" x 4" framing. Its design eliminates the hassle of rusty nails, staples, and loose screens, providing a tidy finish that stands the test of time. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant vinyl, the Screen Tight system never requires painting, rusts, or rots, making it an ideal choice for long-lasting installations. The straightforward installation process includes attaching the base to the frame, rolling the screen into place, and snapping the cap onto the base to complete the project. Notably, the pre-punched holes spaced 8" apart facilitate quick and consistent attachment. The system accepts standard fiberglass and aluminum screen wire, with recommended spline sizes of .175" for fiberglass and .165" for aluminum. When re-screening is necessary, simply pop off the cap, roll in new screen wire, and replace the cap-it's that easy. The CAP38W8 is available in a clean white finish, measuring 96 inches in length and 3-1/2 inches in width, ensuring compatibility with various design aesthetics.

CRL Screen Tight™ Vinyl Screen Frame is a common sense approach to screening a porch or sunroom area. This Vinyl Screen Frame has been designed with the home builder in mind.


Screen Tight's unique system is easily adaptable to most screen porches. The Base attaches to existing 2" x 4" or 4" x 4" framing with wood screws, roof tacks or staples. Once the Base is attached, the screen is rolled into place with a standard screen roller tool. The excess screen is cut and removed. The Cap snaps into the Base, completing the installation.

Screen Tight is durable and weather resistant. It is low maintenance because it won't corrode, rust or rot, and never needs painting.

NOTE: Screen wire and spline not included. Recommended spline size is .175" when using fiberglass screen wire; .165" when using aluminum screen wire.

Pre-punched holes on 8" (196 mm) centers result in a quick and consistent attachment. Once the base is attached, the screen and spline are rolled into place with a standard screen spline roller. If aluminum screen wire is being used, the SS165 series spline is recommended; for fiberglass wire use SS175 series spline. The excess screen is cut and removed. The cap snaps into the base, completing the installation.

1. Base component is easily cut to fit with CRL PTS89 Trimming Snips.

2. Attach base to existing wooden frame with screws or roofing tacks.

3. Secure screen to base with screen spline by rolling spline into groove.

4. Trim excess screen and snap cap into base.
