Designed with a die-cast base and stainless steel arms and gears, this mechanism ensures durability and reliability. The patented dual arm action efficiently pushes the sash open while simultaneously pulling the hinge side to the open position, making it ideal for casement and awning-type windows. With a typical operating torque of less than one foot-pound, this operator can smoothly handle a sash weighing up to 60 lbs. (27.2 kg), accommodating various sizes and weights, including those with insulated and double-insulated glass. This mechanism comes with installation screws, making setup straightforward. Please note that this product includes the operator mechanism only and does not come with an operator cover or handle. Plastic or metal covers are available separately to customize your installation. Handing is determined by the hinged side of the window when viewed from the inside out, ensuring the correct fit for your project. With a small arm length of 3-15/16 inches and a longer arm length of 13-1/2 inches, the EP28000 is designed for left-hand applications, providing versatility in your window solutions.
