Laurence GR16BS Brushed Stainless 1.66" Premium Cap Rail for 1/2" Glass - 120" combines exceptional craftsmanship with innovative design, making it an ideal choice for any architectural application. Made from high-quality stainless steel, this cap rail is available in a brushed finish that enhances its aesthetic appeal while maintaining durability. Manufactured using a unique bump-forming process, the GR16BS Cap Rail ensures tight tolerances and consistent radii, allowing for seamless integration with fabricated corners and end caps. Measuring 120 inches in length, it can also be cut to size or custom fabricated to meet specific project requirements. The internal channel is welded for added strength, providing stability and reliability in installations. Compatible with a variety of glass thicknesses-1/2", 5/8", and 3/4"-the cap rail requires the use of CRL’s GR5PV Cap Rail Vinyl and 95CBL Silicone to secure the glass effectively. Additionally, connector sleeves (No. GR16CSS) are recommended for easy assembly. With a diameter of 1.66 inches and a thickness of 0.05 inches, the GR16BS is designed to withstand the rigors of both commercial and residential applications. CRL's Premium Cap Rails are manufactured using a unique process known as Bump-Forming that ensures accuracy, consistency, and high quality. Unlike roll-formed cap rails, CRL's Bump-Formed Premium Cap Rails do not contain the stress and spring back associated with the roll-formed product. Welds on both sides of the channel add strength and stability to the Cap Rail. This results in a Cap Rail with tighter tolerances, consistent radius, and the ability to fit into welded corners without twist or discoloration. Put simply, it means this is the best product in the market place.


All CRL Premium Cap Rail are formed using precision tooling to maintain uniform diameters, allowing for smooth hairline transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. The internal channel is welded in place to increase strength and stability for fabrication. Use Connector Sleeves to connect Cap Rails. Sold in 120" (3.05 m) lengths.

NOTE: When used with 1/2" (12 mm) glass, Cat. No. GR5PV Cap Rail Vinyl and 95CBL Silicone should be used to secure the glass. When used with 5/8" (16 mm) glass, secure with 95CBL Silicone Sealant and Shims. Please contact CRL Technical Sales for more information or for a quote.

Use of our 32629 Metal Contact Cement is required to achieve a secure and permanent bond at all connections.

Use the Connector Sleeves to connect Cap Rails. NOTE:When used with 3/4" (19 mm) glass, 95CBL Silicone and shims should be used to secure the glass.
