C.R. Laurence GR257BS14 304 Grade Brushed Stainless 2-1/2" Premium Cap Rail for 3/4" Glass - 168" offers a sophisticated and durable solution for your railing needs. Crafted from premium 304 stainless steel, this cap rail combines strength with a sleek brushed finish, making it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial applications. Available in lengths of 120" and 168", the cap rail is designed with bumped-formed and welded construction to ensure uniform diameters and smooth transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. Its internal channel enhances stability, providing a secure fit for 3/4" thick glass. To connect cap rails effectively, utilize Connector Sleeves (Model GR25CSS) and C.R. Laurence Cat. No. 32629 Metal Contact Cement for a permanent bond. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use Cat. No. GR7PV Cap Rail Vinyl and 95CBL Silicone to secure the glass. Although stainless steel is resistant to corrosion, regular maintenance is advised to preserve its appearance. With a thickness of .0625 in. (1.59 mm) and a diameter of 2-1/2 in. (64 mm), the GR257BS14 cap rail not only meets aesthetic standards but also offers exceptional reliability and functionality in various architectural designs.

All CRL Premium Cap Railings are formed using precision tooling to maintain uniform diameters, allowing for smooth hairline transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. The internal channel is welded in place to increase strength and stability for fabrication. Use our Cat. No. 32629 Metal Contact Cement to achieve a secure and permanent bond at all connections.


Use Connector Sleeves to connect Cap Rails. Stainless alloy 304 is standard; Stainless alloy 316 is available on special order. For Brass, alloy 260 is standard. Please contact CRL Railing Technical Sales for more information or for a quote.

NOTE: When using GR207, GR257, and GR307 Series Cap Rails, Cat. No. GR7PV Cap Rail Vinyl and 95CBL Silicone should be used to secure the glass.
