C.R. Laurence PPH08BN Brushed Nickel Prima Hinge with Rear Drip Plate offers an innovative solution for modern shower enclosures, effectively deflecting water back into the shower space. This thoughtfully designed hinge features an attractive drip plate that ensures water stays contained without interfering with the door's swing. Crafted from solid brass, the hinge is compatible with monolithic tempered glass, accommodating thicknesses ranging from 5/16" (8 mm) to 3/8" (10 mm). With a maximum door weight capacity of 100 lbs. (45 kg) and a width of up to 31" (787 mm), the Prima Hinge is both robust and versatile. The top and bottom mount design allows for a sleek appearance by maximizing glass visibility while reducing the number of required cut-outs compared to standard side mount hinges. This hinge also provides self-centering functionality within 15 degrees of the closed position, ensuring a secure fit. Stocked in four popular finishes, including the elegant brushed nickel, custom finishes are available upon request. For added flexibility, optional 5-degree pivot pin sets can be purchased separately, allowing adjustments to the door's closing position. Each hinge comes complete with gaskets, screws, and glass fabrication dimensions, making installation straightforward and efficient.

The CRL Prima Hinge with Rear Drip Plate helps deflect water back into the shower. Water that may have escaped the shower in the gap between the hinge body and base plate is minimized due to the Drip Plate. The Drip Plate itself does not interfere in any way with the door swing. Stocked in our four most popular finishes, with other finishes available on special order. Drip Plates themselves (Cat. No. PPHWP1) are stocked in eight finishes for customers wanting to go back and add them to an existing installation.


Optional 5 degree Pivot Pin set (for Prima, Cardiff, Rondo, and Shell Series): Optional 5 degree Pivot Pin Sets are available when you want to alter the closing position of the door by 5 degree. These Pivot Pins may be inserted prior to installation, or retrofitted after the installation is complete. Sold as a set: One for the top, and one for the bottom. Not included with hinge purchase. Pre-Set 5 degree Hinge models are available from stock.

Using two hinges with 5/16" to 3/8" glass (8 to 10 mm) the hinge will hold up to 100 lbs. (45 kg) with a maximum width of 31" (787 mm).
