Laurence SCS1009 Aluminum GE 1000 Contractors Silicone Sealant is an exceptional choice for general-purpose glazing and sealing applications, ensuring long-term reliability in various conditions. This one-part acetic cure silicone sealant boasts a joint movement capability of ±25%, making it ideal for accommodating building movement. Designed for versatile use, the GE® 1000 is perfect for sealing applications involving sheet metal, skylights, ventilators, and air conditioning systems, as well as providing bedding for marine hardware. It retains its superior performance across a wide temperature range, from -40˚ to 400˚F (-40˚ to 204˚C), and can be applied outdoors even at temperatures as low as -35˚F (-37˚C), provided the surfaces are clean, dry, and frost-free. Meeting rigorous standards, the sealant complies with Federal Specifications TT-S-001543A and ASTM C-920, ensuring quality and performance. However, it is important to note that it is not recommended for structural glazing or use on masonry. With a cartridge size of 10.1 oz. (300 ml) and a shelf life of 18 months, the C.R. GE® 1000 is a one-part acetic cure silicone sealant designed for general purpose glazing and curtainwall sealing applications where long-term reliability is required.


Basic Uses
Well suited for general sealing applications such as sheet metal, skylights, ventilators, air conditioning systems, metal or plastic signs, glass block structures, and as a bedding for marine hardware. GE® 1000 retains its cured properties from -40˚ to 400˚F (-40˚ to 204˚C). It can be applied at outdoor temperatures as low as -35˚F (-37˚C) provided only that surfaces are clean, dry, and frost-free.

It meets or exceeds the following specification standards: Federal Specifications TT-S-001543A (COM-NBS) Class A for silicone building sealants, and TT-S-00230C (COM-NBS) Class A for one component building sealants; ASTM C-920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, Use NT, G, A and O; CAN/CGSB-19.13-M87. USDA, FDA, NSF Status.

Limitations
GE® 1000 Contactors Silicone Sealant is not intended for structural glazing, or for use on masonry. Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
