C.R. Laurence SRCAR01ULBR Unlacquered Brass Senior Cardiff Series Hinge offers an elegant and robust solution for accommodating 1/2" (12 mm) thick tempered glass. This larger version of the popular Cardiff Series hinge is designed for top or bottom mounting, providing versatility for various installations, including adaptability to the CRL Deluxe Header System. With its sharp square corners, this hinge delivers a traditional aesthetic while ensuring strength and durability through solid brass construction. It features self-centering functionality, backed by four strong springs that maintain maximum retention strength. The hinge is capable of supporting doors weighing up to 145 lbs. (66 kg) and measuring up to 36" (914 mm) in width, making it ideal for both residential and hotel shower applications. For added convenience, the hinge comes with gaskets, screws, and glass fabrication dimensions. The top and bottom mount design enhances glass exposure and can reduce glass fabrication costs compared to traditional side mount hinges. Note that the SRHAB01 Adapter Block must be ordered separately for ceiling-height installations. CRL Senior Cardiff Series Top and Bottom Mount Pivot Hinges are designed for use with 1/2" (12 mm) thick tempered safety glass. Some advantages of the Top and Bottom Mount Pivot Hinges include the fact that they carry the majority of the door weight on the bottom hinge, and have the ability to be inset from the door edge, enabling sufficient clearance for towel bars or other projections.


Senior Cardiff Hinges are self-centering, with four strong springs for maximum retention strength. The Senior Cardiff Hinge is adaptable to our Deluxe Header System for enclosures not reaching the ceiling, by utilizing our Senior Adapter Block.

NOTE: Must order SRHAB01 Adaptor Block separately. They also can be simply floor and ceiling mounted for doors that do reach the ceiling.

Using two hinges with 1/2" glass (12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 145 lbs. (66 kg) with a maximum door width of 36" (914 mm).

NOTE: Use SRP1VP1N (sold separately) 5 degree Pivot Pins for 1/2" (12 mm) Thick Glass Option for 5 degree tighter door closer. Sold as a set, one for top hinge and one for bottom hinge.
