CRL TPR559 3/16" x 3/8" x 2" TPR Setting Blocks

C.R. Laurence TPR559 3/16" x 3/8" x 2" Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Setting Blocks are engineered for versatility and reliability in modern construction applications. Designed to be compatible with a variety of sealants-including silicone, butyl, polyurethane, and polysulfide-these setting blocks offer exceptional performance. With a 90 durometer shore hardness, they match the durability of traditional neoprene blocks while benefiting from excellent chemical resistance. The TPR material ensures that surfaces remain unmarred and unstained, making these blocks ideal for a range of architectural designs. Each block measures 2 inches in length, 3/8 inch in width, and 3/16 inch in thickness, providing the perfect fit for many installation requirements. Their UV stabilization enhances longevity, ensuring that they withstand the elements over time. For optimal results, it is recommended to conduct job-specific testing with the sealant manufacturer prior to installation, adhering to ASTM C1087-87 standards for compatibility. This proactive approach ensures a secure and lasting bond. Available in a sleek black finish, the CRL TPR559 setting blocks are a reliable choice for professionals seeking high-quality materials for structural glazing projects.

3/16" x 3/8" x 2" Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Setting Blocks

  • Compatible With Silicone, Butyl, Polyurethane, and Polysulfide Sealants
  • UV Stabilized

CRL Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Setting Blocks are compatible with almost anything, meaning you can use them in designs calling for the use of modern structural glazing sealants. They are formed of a 90 durometer shore hardness thermoplastic rubber that performs as well as traditional neoprene setting blocks. They are available in the most popular sizes of neoprene blocks. They have excellent chemical resistance, and do not mar or stain surfaces. Job specific testing prior to start up is recommended with each silicone sealant manufacturer.

Product Warning:

To ensure sealant to block compatibility, the manufacturer of the silicone sealant can test the compatibility of job site representative accessory materials with their silicone sealants using ASTM C1087-87. Results of the compatibility test will be forwarded in writing. Testing takes approximately four weeks from receipt of samples.
