Designed for use with 1/2" (12 mm) monolithic tempered glass, this clamp offers a stylish and modern alternative to traditional U-Channel options, enhancing the frameless aesthetic of your installation. Constructed from solid brass, the UC79SB provides durability and a sophisticated satin brass finish that complements various design styles. The clamp requires glass fabrication to accommodate its design, ensuring a precise fit. With the necessary mounting screws and a set of clear gaskets included, installation is straightforward, while the gaskets help maintain a clean appearance. This oversized clamp supports glass thicknesses ranging from 5/16" to 1/2" (8 to 12 mm) and requires hole diameters of either 5/8" or 3/4" (16 or 19 mm). CRL Oversized Fixed Panel U-Clamps perform the same function as our Standard Fixed Panel U-Clamps. They are especially recommended for 1/2" (12 mm) thick glass installations where a hole drilling measurement of one and a half times glass thickness (from the edge of the glass to the closest edge of the hole) is required by the temperer.
