CRL V116BL Black Vulkem 116 Polyurethane Sealant

C.R. Laurence V116BL Black Vulkem 116 Polyurethane Sealant is a versatile, one-part moisture curing sealant designed for both interior and exterior applications. This gun-grade polyurethane sealant excels in durability and flexibility, making it ideal for moving joints in various construction settings, including precast masonry and window frame perimeters. Notably, Vulkem 116 requires no primer on most common construction surfaces, streamlining the application process. The sealant features a grainy textured finish that effectively matches substrates like stucco and masonry, as well as smooth metal storefront joints. This light texture not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also conceals tooling marks and the natural wavy effect that can occur during application. CRL Vulkem 116 conforms to stringent standards, including U.S. Federal Specification TT-S-00230C and ASTM C920, ensuring high performance across diverse environments. With a cartridge size of 10.1 oz. (300 ml) and a shelf life of 12 months, it is a reliable choice for professionals seeking quality and consistency. However, it is critical to avoid application on damp or contaminated surfaces and surfaces with special coatings without prior consultation. For optimal performance, ensure adequate ventilation during application.

Basic Uses
Vulkem® 116 is an excellent general purpose sealant designed for use in precast masonry, glazing, window frame perimeters, and similar types of construction joints. Suitable for continual immersion in water with the appropriate primer. Designed for exterior and interior use, the light, grainy texture has proven very popular for matching textured substrates like stucco and masonry, and for smooth metal storefront joints. The light texture blends and hides tooling marks, and the wavy effect that is inevitable when tooling sealants.
