George Risk Industries 2800-G Surface Mount Water Contact is a reliable solution for early detection of water leaks, helping to prevent costly damages. Designed with a normally closed configuration for a closed loop circuit, this sensor operates efficiently within a voltage range of 5 VDC to 24 VDC. The automatic reset feature ensures seamless functionality, allowing the sensor to continuously monitor for moisture without manual intervention. Utilizing a moisture bridge to trigger the sensor, the GRI 2800-G can detect water levels as low as 1/16 of an inch in depth. Its simple two-wire setup makes installation straightforward, either connecting to alarm panels or acting as a trigger for remote signaling devices. This adaptability makes it suitable for various applications, including computer rooms, laundry areas, bathrooms, and spaces adjacent to water storage tanks. The sensor is housed in a gray casing and comes with a standard 6-foot jacketed lead, with custom lead lengths available upon request. Designed to detect any conductive, non-flammable liquid, the GRI 2800-G is an essential tool in protecting your property from the dangers of unnoticed leaks. With this sensor in place, you can rest assured that your home or business is safeguarded against potential water damage.
Surface Mount Water Contact with 6ft Jacketed Lead, Normally Closed for a Closed Loop Circuit, Min 5 VDC to Max 24 VDC, Automatic Reset Standard Gap 1/4in+, Gray
Using no mechanical parts, the GRI Water Sensors are triggered by a moisture bridge across the sensor contacts. The GRI Water Sensors can be installed to detect a layer of water as minute as 1/16 of an inch in depth. Requiring only two wires for signal and power, the GRI 2800 Water Sensor utilizes an open collector electronic trigger. The sensor simulates a simple dry closure. It can be used to activate a remote signaling device or it can be wired directly to most alarm panels and some wireless transmitters. The G.R.I. Water Sensors will continue to protect against troublesome and costly water leaks for years to come. Undetected water damage such as that caused by leaking pipes or corroded water heaters cost homeowners ten’s of thousands of dollars each year. Such repairs are time consuming and costly to correct. Applications could include computer room sub-floor areas, telephone equipment rooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, any areas adjacent to a water storage tank or piping. Also evaporative air conditioners, drip pans, overflows and/or drains.
