Acorn CK60L 6" 60d Cut Spikes - Standard - 50 lb

Acorn CK60L Cut Spikes-6" 60d-Standard-50 Pound are expertly crafted for heavy construction applications, making them an excellent choice for deck and bridge work. These cut spikes are manufactured using traditional methods on a historic nail machine, dating back to 1865. Each spike is produced by hand-feeding heated steel into the machine, resulting in a unique character and authenticity that modern methods cannot replicate. Designed for strength and durability, these spikes drive smoothly through planking and heavy timber, ensuring robust connections. The unique design of cut nails enhances their holding power, as their shape forces wood fibers downward, creating a secure fit that resists pull-out. With a rate of 40 spikes cut per minute, you can trust in the efficiency and reliability of Acorn's manufacturing process. Available in either a standard finish or hot-dip galvanized for added corrosion resistance, the CK60L Cut Spikes come with approximately eight nails per pound, providing ample supply for your needs. Proudly made and packaged in Mansfield, Massachusetts, these cut spikes are not just tools but a testament to the enduring quality and craftsmanship of Acorn. Choose Acorn CK60L Cut Spikes for your next project and experience the difference in performance and durability.

Cut Spikes

Cut Spikes are used for heavy construction work they drive well through planking and heavy timber for deck and bridge work. They are made on our oldest nail machine (circa 1865) by heating the steel plate to a reddish hue and feeding it by hand into the massive machine. Spikes are cut at a rate of 40 per minute. Available Hardened in Standard Finish or Hot-Dip Galvanized. All our nails are made on original 19th century and early 20th century nail machines, this may lead to variation in head shape and slight differences in nail length.
