Acorn CK60V 6" 60d Cut Spikes - Standard - 5 lb

Acorn CK60V Cut Spikes-6" 60d-Standard-5 Pound are expertly crafted for heavy construction applications, making them an essential choice for deck and bridge work. These cut spikes are manufactured using traditional methods on one of Acorn's oldest nail machines, dating back to 1865. Each spike is made by heating steel plates to a reddish hue and hand-feeding them into the machine, which produces up to 40 spikes per minute. Designed for durability, these spikes feature a unique shape that creates a strong hold. The construction ensures that once driven into wood, they are difficult to pull out, as the design pushes wood fibers downward, enhancing their grip. Available in either a standard finish or hot-dip galvanized, these nails are perfect for a variety of projects, ensuring they resist corrosion and maintain integrity over time. With approximately 8 nails per pound, the Acorn CK60V Cut Spikes are ideal for those who value both quality and performance in their construction materials. Proudly made and packaged in Mansfield, Massachusetts, these spikes not only deliver reliability but also embody the craftsmanship that Acorn is known for. Choose the CK60V for your next heavy-duty project and experience the difference that handcrafted quality makes.

Cut Spikes are used for heavy construction work they drive well through planking and heavy timber for deck and bridge work. They are made on our oldest nail machine (circa 1865) by heating the steel plate to a reddish hue and feeding it by hand into the massive machine. Spikes are cut at a rate of 40 per minute. Available Hardened in Standard Finish or Hot-Dip Galvanized. All our nails are made on original 19th century and early 20th century nail machines, this may lead to variation in head shape and slight differences in nail length.
