Designed with a heavy-duty steel case and corrosion-resistant plating, this deadlatch is built to withstand the rigors of regular use while ensuring long-lasting performance. With a 1-1/2 inch backset and a flat faceplate measuring 1-1/4 inches by 8 inches, the 4920AN fits seamlessly into hollow metal or wood doors that comply with ANSI specifications. One of the standout features of this deadlatch is its key-controlled bolt hold-back, allowing the door to free-swing during specified times, while still providing secure exit-only access when the bolt is latched. The solid brass latch bolt is designed for easy reversibility with just a screwdriver, accommodating both right and left-hand installations. Additionally, the stainless steel auxiliary latchpin effectively deadlocks the latch bolt to prevent unauthorized entry. The included 4506-02 strike meets ANSI preparation specifications, ensuring a smooth installation process. Suitable for door thicknesses between 1-3/4 inches and 2 inches, this deadlatch is packaged with all necessary components for quick and straightforward mounting. Elevate your door security with the Adams Rite 4920AN Heavy Duty DeadLatch-an ideal choice for both building professionals and knowledgeable homeowners.

For hollow metal or wood doors prepared for hardware according to the specifications of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), 4920AN Heavy Duty Deadlatches provide precise traffic control. A key-controlled bolt hold-back feature allows a door to free-swing part of the day and exit-only when the bolt is free to latch. This allows a "locked" entrance to be used as an exit by customers or visitors already in the building. Interchangeable, without door modification, with any MS1850SN Deadlock of same faceplate shape and backset. Replaces 4520 and 4720 ANSI Deadlatches. Steel case with corrosion-resistant plating. Solid brass latch bolt. Handing is easily reversible using only a screwdriver. Stainless steel auxiliary latchpin deadlocks latchbolt to prevent "loiding"or case-knife entry. Armored flat faceplate can also be adjusted in the field for right or left beveled edge doors. 4506-02 Strike furnished to ANSI preparation specifications for flat jamb. 4920AN Heavy Duty Deadlatches are operable by any standard 1-5/32 In. diameter mortise cylinder with MS cam. Individually boxed with faceplate, strike, and machine screws for mounting. Order cylinders, paddles, handles or lever operators separately.
