Adams Rite Manufacturing 5017-00 Sliding Wood Door Deadlock, Adjustable Bolt Throw is engineered to provide robust security for wood-framed sliding doors. Offering a strength equivalent to the MS1847 deadbolt used for metal stiles, this deadlock ensures reliable protection with a thousand-pound force. Its design features a deeper backset, specifically tailored to accommodate the recessed jambs found in wooden doors, enhancing its functionality and fit. The adjustable bolt throw can be easily modified using a screw located in the faceplate, allowing for precise customization according to installation needs. Constructed from durable stainless steel, the deadlock’s case measures 1/2" x 4 x 1-19/32" deep, while the bolt itself is laminated stainless steel for added resilience. The faceplate, measuring 5/8" x 4-1/2", features radiused ends for a polished look. Operation is seamless with a 45-degree rotation of the turn or key to either throw or retract the bolt. Notably, the bolt is self-protecting; if the door is closed while the bolt is extended, it will retract automatically, preventing potential damage or accidental lockout. Secure your sliding wood doors with the Adams Rite 5017-00 Deadlock and enjoy peace of mind knowing your property is protected.
Sliding Wood Door Deadlock, Adjustable Bolt Throw
For wood framed sliding doors the 5017 deadbolt provides the same thousand pound strength that the MS1847 deadbolt provides for metal stiles. A deeper backset clears the recessed jamb used with wood doors. Bolt throw is easily adjusted by means of a screw in the faceplate. Mounting is by through-bolts, which also secure the inside turn and outside cylinder when installed.
