Operating at either 12 or 24VAC/DC (specify voltage when ordering), it supports a variety of applications with amperage ratings of 250 mA at 12V and 150 mA at 24V. The solenoid coil resistance is 49 Ω for 12V and 159 Ω for 24V. Available in Fail Secure (EU) mode, the outside lever can be electronically unlocked, allowing for convenient access while ensuring immediate egress from the inside. The electronic modification of the Von Duprin 230L series exit trim is perfect for stairwell conditions or applications where electric pullback of the exit device’s latchbolt is cost prohibitive or not required. This is especially practical in applications where fire/life safety codes require "fail safe" condition which is not an option with electrified latch pullback devices. Because the current draw is quite low there is no need for a more expansive power supply to provide the surge current. These trims are purchased as modifications only.
